On October 1st 2010, I received for Lufthansa’s the “Best Airline Social Media Campaign Award” in London. Shasham Nigam (founder of SimpliFlying) arranged a great setting of social media leaders & innovators of the airline industry, like Paula Berg, Runway Girl etc.

Community & Marketing 2.0 Summit 2010, Hamburg

My two panel sessions were this time about “Crisis Communication 2.0: The handling of crisis communication and online reputation management” together with Claudia Sommer from Greenpeace and Thomas Zimmerling from BRITA. The 2nd session was “Customer Service 2.0: Organisation of customer communication and service in realtime” with Andreas Bock from Deutsche Telekom with “Telekom helps”.

At the Social Media Summit 2010 in Wiesbaden (Germany) I gave some insights into our Lufthansa Social Media activities where the most quoted sentence of the day on twitter came probably from me: “Social media is like soccer, every second person is a trainer”.
