Social Media Summit 2010, Wiesbaden

Besides my presentation ;-), the highlights of the conference where in my eyes Dr. Martin Oetting from trnd who just loves his job and company and is always so enthusiastic about his work which makes it always a highlight to listen to him.

Moreover Dr. Markus Pfeiffer from Vivaldi was also quite interesting when he talked about virtual currencies & goods and customer loyalty via social media in general.

Johannes Kleske from Razorfish (also known for being on the cover of the German business magazin Brandeins) did a nice keynote and set the stage today.

Tino Kuehnelt – our BMW innovation evangelist – was just before my presentation where I was already kind of afraid it would be all said afterwards but – lucky me – somehow there were still topics and perspectives left to cover and to talk about! 😉

Dr. Paul Marsden (Consumer Psychologist, Syzygy Group) was also worth the attention and time.  My favorite quote was “Smart social media activities & brands don’t promote one-time rebates but incentivice long-time loyalty!”

A true surprise and personal highlight for me was Werner Lippert, who runs the coolest museum with the NRW Forum Duesseldorf in Germany as he says where the boss himself sends tweet, is facebooking and doing all this “social stuff”. He showed quite impressive that you don’t need to be grown up with social networks to understand them and how to use them as its best! Kudos!
