Any deja-vue when you see the “Hectic schedule of a social media manager” by Socialcast?
What’s the core challenge? Social media never sleeps so do you (have to)! 😉
The Social Media Conference 2011 in Hamburg on FEB15/16 was the first social media event this year in Germany. The speaker line up was quite good, well-known names like Mirko Lange (talkabout), Maik Königs (eblkind) or Klaus Eck (pr-blogger.de) to name only a few. I especially enjoyed the nice story of the BMW motorcycle videos from Tino Kuehnel – have a look…
In my panel session with Peter Crayford (Head of Customer Experience Lifecycle, Orange / France Telecom Group) and Jon Harvey (Agency Group Head, Facebook UK) we were discussing the integration of social networks like Facebook & Co in the corporate CRM strategy.
The Eye-For-Travel Conference in Chicago was definitely a highlight this year. The travel focus and the people from the industry made it a worthy trip. One presentation I really enjoyed was about “The best job in the world” by Tourism Queensland (Australia) which was just a brilliant idea and great realization…
On October 1st 2010, I received for Lufthansa’s MySkyStatus.com the “Best Airline Social Media Campaign Award” in London. Shasham Nigam (founder of SimpliFlying) arranged a great setting of social media leaders & innovators of the airline industry, like Paula Berg, Runway Girl etc.
My two panel sessions were this time about “Crisis Communication 2.0: The handling of crisis communication and online reputation management” together with Claudia Sommer from Greenpeace and Thomas Zimmerling from BRITA. The 2nd session was “Customer Service 2.0: Organisation of customer communication and service in realtime” with Andreas Bock from Deutsche Telekom with “Telekom helps”.
I'm Dr Torsten Wingenter, heading social media at Lufthansa German Airlines. This is my blog - containing only my personal views - which I want to share & discuss as food for thought, not as blueprints!
